CANADIAN POTTERY SERIES - ZSUZSA MONOSTORY

Zsuzsa was born in Budapest, Hungary where she trained in biology. Coming to Canada in 1989, she located in Toronto area and worked at a hospital. Becoming interested in ceramics, she became of full time potter in 1997. Her work reflects her interest in architecture, insects and nature.

She started in the clay medium of raku and expanded to wood - fire pieces. She also created bronzes using the lost wax method.
