CANADIAN POTTERY SERIES - JOSE DROUIN

The unusual tall (15”) standing bird was purchased in Whistler, B.C. only to find out that it was crafted by a Quebec potter, Jose Drouin.

Jose was born in Montreal. She opened her first pottery shop in 1978 in Saint-Modeste and moved to Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Quebec in 1985.

She works in both raku and gas firing and has been an active potter for over 35 years. One of her products are cinerary vases for holding ashes.

You can view her fine work at josedrouin.com
