Ying was born in Taiwan. She emigrated to Canada in the early 1990’s. She has numerous degrees in ceramics as well as teaching the craft. Currently, she teaches at Capilano University in North Vancouver. Her website is yingyuehchuang.com
Her interest is in the detail of small items. Most of the pieces shown are hand built. They are fantasy creatures from under the sea filled with colour and detail.
