CANADIAN POTTERY SERIES - AGNES OLIVE
Agnes Olive has had a career in art spanning 40 years. She has worked in multiple visual arts disciplines.
Agnes graduated from the Ceramics program of Sheridan College in 1979. She immediately opened a gallery in Terracotta, Ontario where she worked in raku pottery and printmaking.
While maintaining the gallery, she spent from 1984 to 1987 as an artist in residence in Lahore, Pakistan.
She later studied paper making in Banff before going to Ghana in 1996. Later in 1996, she moved to San Miguel de Allende in Mexico where she remains today working in various different art mediums.

The raku pot shown below has a beautiful turquoise glaze. Top to bottom, the entire work is about 24” high. The wire handle is bound by copper wire at the top and supported on the sides by two small rings fashioned from an old fence.
